Hello! My name is Colin Wilber, and I’m a writer, producer, and actor based in New York City. Last year, I received my BFA in Film & Television with a concentration in Directing and a minor in Screenwriting in Spring 2026. When it comes to storytelling, the awkward and clunky parts of life really speak to me. Often, the life’s grandest drama is where the greatest comedy lies.

In October of 2024, my short writing debut, The Five Steps of Irish Catholic Grieving, began its festival run. It was screened at the Chicago International Film Festival’s CineYouth Film Festival and Chicago Film Frenzy, received an Award of Merit from IndieFest Film Awards, and was nominated for Best Screenwriting at DePaul University’s Premiere Film Festival. My second short film and third short films, Dumpster Fire & Intermission, are currently in post-production. This summer, I launched my Substack, where I post short stories, essays, and personal reflections.

Life is a weird, funny, and scary adventure, but there is so much beauty in how each of us experiences it. My goal is to find that wonderful peculiarity in everything I make.
